The Kidz Phoenix is the most supportive and functional of the Seating Matters children’s range to accommodate spinal conditions and provide maximum support to highly dependent patients.

The Kidz Phoenix tilt in space chair is clinically designed for complex upper body support in addition to pressure management, postural support and comfort. It accommodates those with kyphotic postures, hyperextension, or those who require upper body and head support. The angle of the back can be adjusted to accommodate the patient and the elevating legrest can be raised and lowered, also increasing patient comfort.

The Phoenix will also adapt easily to the changing needs of a growing child or meet the long term needs of a progressive condition. The removable arms facilitate width adjustment and also side transfers.

  • 4 Braked Castors on Chair
    4 Braked Castors on Chair
    To help keep the chair stationary, 4 braked castors can be added to the chair frame at time of ordering in retrospect. Brakes can be engaged from the front or the back of the chair.
  • Stroller Wheel
    Stroller Wheels
    300mm rear wheels that provide additional ease of maneuverability. These can be used to control the direction of movement during transit providing smooth mobility. A wheelchair ratchet breaking system which provides a stable and secure break on the chair is included as standard with stroller wheels.
  • Seat Belt
    Seatbelt
    Provides additional safety during transit as well as providing a form of support for those who may have a tendency to slide out of their chairs or suffer from seizures. It is only to be used in accordance with facility or local regulations regarding restraint.

    This comfortable belt can be easily fitted to each Seating Matters chair. It is only to be used in accordance with facility or local regulations regarding restraint.
  • 4 Point Hip Belt

    For those who require extra security in their seat, the 4 point belt is similar to the seat belt but is held in location by two additional belts to stop it moving to an unsafe position on the body. It is only to be used in accordance with facility or local regulations regarding restraint.
  • Hip Belt Pin Release
    4 Point Hip Belt
    Used for those where there is a risk of injury by opening the best at the wrong time, the pin release gives extra safety to the patient. It is only to be used in accordance with facility or local regulations regarding restraint.
  • Pelvic Positioner
    4 Point Hip Belt
    For those who are at risk for sliding at falls, the pelvic positioner can cross the pelvis to secure in 4 points to the seat base, giving extra safety to the patient. It is only to be used in accordance with facility or local regulations regarding restraint.
